a Living Legacy

a Living Legacy

What started as a love for old ships and open seas became a movement to rebuild something timeless.

We’re a hands-on crew of community builders, dreamers, and doers on a mission to reimagine slow, soulful journeys that honor the cultures, colors, and character of the Caribbean — and the people who call it home.

Soak in the salt air. Share the table. Make the kind of memories that stay with you for decades. That’s The Windjammer Way.

Over 100 Years. Over a Million Miles. One Ship.

Built in 1923, the SV Mandalay has lived many lives — from private yacht to U.S. Navy service, from conducting oceanographic research to decades as a barefoot windjammer sailing the Caribbean’s bluest waters. She’s carried pirates and presidents, honeymooners and wanderers, salty crew and lifelong friends.

Now, after more than a million nautical miles and a century of stories, she’s being brought back to life — for her next great 100 years at sea.

No cruise crowds. No fluff. Just wind in the sails, salt in your hair, and the kind of stories you'll still tell in 20 years.
